Ah! finished another anime again.
If you usually read my blog, you will notice that im a very slow person when it comes to anime. Like this anime ended like 3 months ago? and i just finished watching it last night only. Well im the kind of person who likes to watch anime slowly and i seriously cannot wait each episode to be released once a week just like bleach or naruto, but i’m still manage to watch bleach patiently ^^. So anyways i just finished watching the series Myself; Yourself last night and yes it was great! Just being frank, that its just a normal high school life anime but i kinda like the story lines and how the story goes in each episode. I shall now write about the review of the anime.
Number of episodes: 13
Opening Theme: “Tears Infection” by KAORI
Ending Theme: “Kimi to Yozora to Sakamichi to” by Kanako Ito
The story starts with 5 childhood friends together. When Sana Hidaka is going to transfer to another school in Tokyo, four of his friends gave him a farewell party. Sana Hikada returns to his hometown after 5 years away living in Tokyo. Although there are a few changes in the town, but mostly remain the same. Sana decided to visit the Shrine on his first day and noticed a shrine maiden watching him. He went to school the next day and found out that the shrine maiden seems to be his childhood friend Nanaka Yatsushiro whom he gave a bracelet before he left and until now she still wears it. After getting used to living back in his hometown again, Sana Hikada began to found out the secrets and sorrow behind everyone’s smile.
I started watching this anime because most anime bloggers watches it? Zenical did introduce this anime to me. Thanks ^^ So yea, its only 13 episodes and i finished watching it last night! =P and yes it was a great anime. Good storylines and it kinda resemble a normal love life in high school. It kinda suck in some parts of the anime because Sana keeps doing things at the wrong time making Nanaka misunderstood things! But in the end, things just seem to get right again. Its quite a touching anime too as friends departs, friends reunite, heartache, memories of the past, friends departs again and love life. I shall rate it 8/10 for the whole anime. The opening theme and ending theme of the anime are great too! I guess i’m done with the reviews! quite short eh? Well anyways here are a few more of the screencaps, the opening theme and the ending theme of Myself; Yourself.
Opening Theme (“Tears Infection” by KAORI)
Ending Theme
(“Kimi to Yozora to Sakamichi to (キミと夜空と坂道と)” by Kanako Ito)
And this is the end. Dear readers, do watch this anime as
its a short series and a good series. I’m sure you will like it too.
The girls in the anime are either hot or cute. =P
Since i finished this series, any ideas which anime should i watch?
I got tons of anime in my computer. =P Help me decide?
Didn’t you feel that the ending was slightly (or heavily) rushed? Negative points for that, but yeah, overall it was entertaining and enjoyable.
gotta agree with IcyStorm, is too rushy
It remind me of true tears too.
But true tears have cuter character
Indeed, OP and ED are really good. The show, was okay, I guess.
“But true tears have cuter character”
And true tears looked GOOD on HD.
My favorite show of last season. The only gripe of course is the unsatisfying ending .-.
The scene when the twins ran away from home was really touching. I watched this mainly because of the seiyuus >_<
yeah the ending was meh.. it needed more twincest!!! Aoi’s voice annoyed the hell outta me too.. It’s not like Nene’s (potemayo) high pitch and cute voice.. it sounded like an old woman’s high pitched voice >.< I still liked the series i guess..
@Icystorm. Hmm now that you mention it. True also but nevertheless an enjoying anime.
@Rokku. Aiya, i haven watch True Tears yet but may watch it soon.
@Zeroblade. Omg, im so gonna watch true tears. ahaha Yeap opening and ending theme were great.
@Shin. LOL i know what you mean =P it was too rushing like was Icystorm said.
@Misakichii. yah that part, then when Sana went chasing them with the bike =S
@Zyg. LOL i think her voice is cute because that seiyuu voice Nel in bleach which i think is the cutest thing in bleach. LOL ahaha yeap a good series ^^
Totally agree, the character designs are awesome and I love this anime ^^
I started watching it when it was airing, but I really didn’t want to continue. It just seemed to annoy me for some reason and I didn’t really like the characters, but considering you don’t find it that bad I guess I’ll continue watching it sometime.
Maybe it was a bit rushed but a decent series nontheless. The seiyū did a good job though it feels weird every time I hear Aoi voice as it remind me of Chiyo, Lol.
@Chraen. yeap good anime ^^
@lostty. do continue watching it! its only a 13 episodes anime.
@Lanie-emon. Hmmm Chiyo? Sounds so familiar =S
IVe never heard of this anime, but when I saw this post, it reminded me of air. Yes the sad one. I loved that anime… Ill see if i can watch this one!
Twincest is officially h4wt.
the twincest really bothers me but what i like about this anime is the soundtrack especially the main character plays the violin..
i totally agree that ending was rushed but overall the anime is good
